About
I am currently a psychotherapist and was first introduced to yoga by a dear friend about four years ago.
At first I thought of it as a potential modality. As I began my journey, I found it to reduce stress and offer me an opportunity to reconnect with myself. Somewhere between watching myself struggle through poses in the mirror for 60 minutes to finding the confidence to attempt to fly in crow pose, a transformation took place. I became addicted to the strength, confidence, and high I got when I was able to flow through my Vyansa like a pro. I looked forward to the calming feeling that grounded me while in my last Shavasana. I was truly amazed by the love, awe, and respect I found for my body after every practice. Yoga allowed me to look at both the places that are seen and the places that are not seen, but felt. There is also a spiritual aspect of yoga that I was drawn to and brought me to a place of being totally present. It continues to serve as a space for me to help quiet my mind and attune to my true self which provides an awareness and a greater ability to live a more conscious lifestyle. Yoga resonated with me and transformed me both internally and externally until there was no doubt in my mind that being a yoga instructor was a passion that I had to pursue. I am inspired by the unknown of life. There is a certain trepidation that comes with starting something new, but as a result comes a great freedom in transforming a situation that once caused me stress into the most amazing experience. I am also inspired by the opportunity to be a witness to people pursuing their inner passions. Doing something that lifts others up and reassures them in their own life’s. Everyone is always looking for more positivity, inspiration, and happiness in their lives, and yoga is my way of offering that to people.
