Melissa is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
She completed 200 RYT Teacher training under the direction of Stacey Bell and Autumn Perez at Powerflow Yoga Jersey City in January of 2024. In March of 2025, Melissa completed the Powerflow Yoga Fusion Teacher Training under the direction of Jess Byrne at Powerflow Yoga in Livingston, NJ. She currently teaches twice a week at Space Spa and Wellness in Nutley, NJ. She also actively substitutes classes at Powerflow Yoga in Livingston & Clifton, NJ. You can also catch her subbing at Crunch Fitness in Livingston and Verona, NJ. Melissa has a Masters in Dance Education and has worked full time teaching dance at a public school for 11 years. In 2013, Melissa completed Little Flower Yoga's Teacher Training at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York for children and Teens. Melissa is comfortable teaching in a variety of settings and levels. With experience as a teacher and birthday party leader at The Little Gym Montclair, Melissa is also comfortable leading parent/child yoga classes.
