Sri Devi Melissa Urey, ERYT- 500, Sanskrit and Vedic chanting teacher, meditation guide Sri Devi Melissa Urey is a Sanskrit and Vedic chanting teacher, yoga instructor, and meditation guide.
After her initial YTT in 2016, she received specialty training in Yoga Nidra, Pranayama, yogic meditation, children's yoga, Ayurvedic Yoga and Restorative Yoga. She began intensive studies in Sanskrit and yogic philosophy with Prep Sadasivananda, from whom she received her spiritual name Śri Devi in 2017. Her continued Sanskrit studies led her to Vidya Ramananthan and Samskrtia Bharata where she deepened her understanding and appreciation for Sanskrit grammar. Currently she studies Vedic chanting within a living Veda tradition in the Mysore sampradaya with her teacher Shantala Sriramaiah and is now an authorized teacher through the Veda Studies program.
