About

Yogis are said to live not in the number of years but in the number of breaths.

Melody believes that as we bring focus into our breath, we bring our focus into the present moment. By staying present in each moment we can enjoy life in its' fullest expression.  Melody's passion for yoga began with her own personal practice in 2008. What began as a way to stretch and relieve tight muscles from running quickly became a shift in her body as well as her mind. With regular practice, Melody found that she had greater flexibility, balance, and strength. Her stress level decreased and her personal values shifted into her having more gratitude, empathy, and forgiveness. She soon left the business world and joined Teach For America to serve the underprivileged and overlooked children of metro Atlanta Georgia as an Elementary school teacher. Melody's commitments to the empowerment of others,  education,  and yoga came together seamlessly as she completed her 200 hour teacher training through the Yoga Institute in Houston Texas. She is nationally certified  as a yoga instructor through the Yoga Alliance and the National Association of Certified Yoga Teachers.
