I encourage my students to feel into their own bodies, connect to their mind and their emotions throughout the practice. The breath always comes first, so an awareness to breath and using the breath to guide the movement throughout our practice is essential. My classes follow the complete arc beginning with breathwork, a warm-up to prepare the body, surya namaskars, peak flow, balancing the body and savasana. Essential oils are sometimes included in class, always as an invitation to use by each individual. I also a certified SEL*f (social-emotional learning facilitator and yoga instructor for children. I have experience teaching in ages ranging from 1 and up in group settings (preschools, daycares, family yoga night). I continue to grow as a practitioner and teacher of yoga through my experiences teaching, studying and deepening my personal practice. My love of yoga has become how I live each day, finding more mindfulness, connection to breath and commitment to the collective consciousness.
