About

Namaste! I am Dekim Yay! As a dedicated Yoga Instructor and practitioner it is my mission to create liberation from the imbalances of duality.

In our purest form, the human being is nothing but pure reflection. As we move through our lives, we pick up and grow attached to different colorings and distortions of our internal and external reflections, to with which we falsely identify. There are very few practices and philosophies in existence that can address the widely varied manifestations of human experience. This is Yoga’s most wonderful trait! This ancient science teaches to the very core aspects of what it is to be human. Yoga ensures us experientially that we are and have never been lacking anything at all. To the contrary, this practice further evolves into deeper levels of letting go. Like the lotus unfolding out of muddy waters, we too must bloom out of the muddiness of our lives. I am here to create freedom from our attachment and aversion to the mud below and the vast open skies above – from duality; to be ever more present. I hold the truth that life is just as absurd as it is sacred. In my classes we focus our energy, create powerful intentions, and embody a deep sense of reverence and gratitude for all life, including ourselves, while building strength, flexibility, and awareness. But we also laugh, mess up, shake, stumble, and begin to fall in love with our once perceived imperfections. I teach from a place of complete non-judgement and unconditional Love. It is my greatest Joy to inspire those same embodiments in my students. I am an RYT-500 Yoga Instructor. I have nearly 1000 hours of Yoga specific training including IAM Yoga Nidra, Hatha-Gong, Yoga for Trauma and PTSD, Yin, and more. I am currently in The Integrative Amrit Yoga's Meditation in Motion training, and am working towards a Yoga Therapy degree. My teachings and personal practice are a combination of many different styles of Yoga. Astanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Jivamukti, Kundalini, Yoga Nidra, and more. Yoga is for every body! But not every style of Yoga is for every body. As a student and practitioner who dives deeply into many different modalities, I have the experiential understanding to know which one or combination will benefit any given student or group the greatest. ~May you find Home everywhere you go. And may Love lead you there.~
