About
In 2024 I embarked upon my learning and growth path with Soo Yoon and Abundant Path School Of Yoga (RYS) to seek a graduation certificate as a 200 hour instructor, and that physical journey coincided at Release Yoga Studio in Hillsdale, NJ.
I’m now certified Yoga Alliance as a 200hr RYT. Most importantly, I gained the knowledge and honed my skill set to live and confidently share the wisdom of this ancient yoga tradition through a contemporary and approachable lens. It was and continues to be a life changing experience. I like to warm up with invigorating and thoughtful stretches followed by vinyasa style flow. Traditional asanas are taught featuring sun salutations as the basis, featuring logical flow asana as well as linking breath to the posture. As the class flows, the sequences and asana have a logical build so students feel that they are prepared for whatever is coming next. Frequent cuing for proper alignment is common as are some anatomical references if relevant. The use of props is commonplace as well as utilizing the wall. The class attempts to create something for everyone, from beginner to expert, with options added along the way to create a unified, inclusive class. The class features pranayama more often than not, and finishes with a relaxing savasana. The mood can be described as inviting, soulful and playful.
