About
Michaela Chandler RYT 200 started practicing Yoga in 2010 purely for the exercise benefits.
At the time Ms. Chandler was unable to afford classes so she learned out of books and through experiencing the pose in her body. Soon what started as a gentle way to move her body became a passion for movement. In 2014, Ms. Chandler took her first Yoga class and was enchanted by the possibilities to tell a story through movement and to come to a place of stillness and clarity. Later that year, Ms. Chandler took her Yoga teacher training through Wilmington Yoga Center. During her training, Ms. Chandler learned more about Asana, meditation, pranayama, lifestyle, ethics, and philosophy. Ms. Chandler's mentors include Jaime Annette and Heather Metzler from Wilmington Yoga Center, and Kristin Williams at K10 Yoga in Winston Salem. Some of Ms. Chandler's inspirations for her practices are Shiva Rey, Meghan Currie Yoga, Ana Forrest with Forrest Yoga and Jaime Annette. In June of 2018, Ms. Chandler took the Embody Love Movement facilitator training through K10 Yoga. Now Ms. Chandler is furthering her education in Asana and Yoga business with Kristin Williams mentorship program. Always the bookworm, she is constantly reading books about Yoga, the chakras and energy work.
