Michelle Olson graduated Cum Laude from UCLA with a B.A.
in both dance and anthropology. Dancing consistently since the age of three, she has trained in a wide variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, house, West African, and more. Her knowledge for dance and choreography was expanded at UCLA where she performed and showcased work in multiple productions in the World Arts and Cultures/Dance department. In 2016, she auditioned for Villains Contemporary and the Los Angeles branch of Academy of Villains, both of which she became director for. Throughout her time on the company, she had the privilege of performing and teaching internationally in places such as China, Russia, the Philippines, and Costa Rica. Currently, she is the director of Virtual Movement Academy - an online training program dedicated to helping dancers find their unique artistic voice, as well as Unikiyo - a health and wellness program aiding individuals to find physical, mental, and spiritual healing through classes such as dance, meditation, yoga, and aquatic therapy. In addition, Michelle is a 500 hour registered yoga teacher (500 RYT) with Yoga Alliance and aims to combine her love for mind-body connection with her teaching methods. Her goal is to inspire others to never settle, be true to themselves, and share their light with the rest of the world as she aims to do herself!
