Dr Michelle Renaud is an exercise physiologist, health educator, mindfulness researcher, and the founder of Urban Solace Mindful Living, with over 25 years of experience on the mat.
In addition to her role at Urban Solace, Dr Renaud serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Health Promotion and Human Performance department at Eastern Michigan University. She holds a PhD in Kinesiology, a Master of Science in Community Health, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine. Dr Renaud has delivered fun and functional yoga programming to participants across the lifespan, from pre-schoolers to older adults. She has also worked in a variety of clinical settings, including spinal cord injury, post-rehab orthopedics, cardiac rehabilitation, and assisted living facilities. Her research interests include active aging, adaptive yoga, yoga for individuals living with cancer, and mindfulness modalities for caregivers of older adults. She also serves as a yoga and mindfulness consultant for academic, healthcare, and research curricula. Urban Solace is proud to be the producer of the longest-running FREE outdoor yoga program in downtown Detroit. Since they've provided fun & fitness on the riverfront to thousands of residents and visitors, they are super excited to share the gift of yoga & wellness with you. Michelle's signature weekly Livestream sessions include Gentle Flow, Restorative Yin, Slow Burn, and Power Flow.
