About

What brought me to this amazing journey of a lifetime? The sad thing was I had a Spiritual Awaking when my Dad passed away from cancer in Dec.

2013. I realized at a young age that eating right and exercise was important. Cause most of my family suffered from high anxiety, high blood pressure, and diabetes. Most of my family died young from some kind of illness or cancer. I was a runner and weight lifter at your local gym. So when my dad was progressing through the stages of his cancer. I didn’t have the drive to work out, because the thought of losing my Dad was eating away at me. So, I told my loving husband that I couldn’t go on like this anymore. It was affecting my young 1-year-old daughter at that time, because I couldn’t be there for her emotionally. I went to the gym to do yoga and it felt so good, that when I left I felt like anything was possible. I had an epiphany that my mental was far more important than my physical appearance. I started to change how I view myself in my thoughts,  once I was able to change my thoughts, I was able to achieve the body I had once desired. The most important part of yoga was it was changing my way of thinking. I finally was able to stop letting the negative thoughts control me. Learning to let go of fear and worry. I was finally able to love myself. I started to realize that I am amazing person and I have the ability to achieve anything my heart desires. I knew after my one-year mark that I want to be a yoga instructor to share the gift that yoga is. Yoga defiantly reignited my will to live life to it fullest potential. I started my 200 hr. in Ashtanga Yoga in Nov. 2014. I enjoyed teaching the Ashtanga, because it really challenged me to stay focus when teaching full primary series. Making sure I was present for my students. Knowing what poses were coming next helped me grow in my practice for adjustments as well. I enjoy connecting with people threw adjustments, it allows me to help deepen there practice. Ashtanga also really helped me to realize how important it is to connect breathe with movement. Now my in my practice my heart wants to expand, so I am taking my 500 hr. Sept. 2015 Advance Master Program through Cloud Nine at Yoga Body. Already the school has ample opportunities to further my growth spiritually. I love all types of yoga; now as I continue to grow I realize it is important to explore all. Truly blessed to have found YOGA as my passion; I feel in my heart it was my dads last gift to me. Now I know the purpose of my life is to inspire beautiful people to help them grow on their amazing yoga journey. Life is tough at times; so let yoga help you find balance in it all. Hope to see you soon and watch you see your mat become a sanctuary for your mind.     PEACE/LOVE/HAPPINESS Michelle
