About
I didn’t come to yoga to become a teacher—I came because life has continuously asked me to slow down, listen, and heal.Yoga became a place where I could breathe again, reconnect with my body, and begin meeting myself with compassion rather than judgment.
Over time, that personal practice evolved into a calling to hold space for others—especially those navigating stress, burnout, grief, or major life transitions.I am a certified 200-hour yoga teacher trained in Integrated Holistic Yoga and am currently completing a Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training certificate. I also hold a doctorate in education and bring years of experience in student support, leadership, and community building into everything I offer. My approach to yoga is gentle, grounded, and deeply human. I prioritize choice, nervous system regulation, and self-compassion over performance or perfection. Whether in a class, workshop, or retreat, my intention is always the same: to create a safe, welcoming space where you can move at your own pace, listen to your body, and reconnect with your inner wisdom.Yoga, for me, is an invitation—to soften, to feel, and to come home to yourself. I’m honored to walk alongside you on that journey.Mijiza Sanchez-Guzman is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
