About

Mikky Daub's yoga journey officially began in a Fargo, ND YMCA with a "Yoga in Motion" class when she was 15 years old.

She would attend yoga classes a handful of times each month on and off until going to college. As she pursued her BFA in Graphic Design and Minor in Art History, she completed 5 semesters of yoga study (including Yoga & Meditation, Yoga I, Yoga II, and Power Yoga) at NDSU and then MSUM. These classes included information on the history and practice of yoga, Patanjali's 8 Limbs of Yoga, and had hints of Tantra, Partner Yoga, Thai Bodywork, and Kundalini Yoga. In 2011 her teacher suggested that Mikky consider becoming a teacher herself. Pursuing a path in graphic design instead, she finally answered the call to teacher training in 2018 when she studied under the Swami Rama Himalayan Lineage at Radiant Life Yoga in Minneapolis, MN. Shortly after, Mikky saw a need for quality in-home yoga in Minneapolis and the Greater Twin Cities area and Private Yoga Minneapolis came to life!\n When COVID-19 hit, Mikky took her classes and events online. After graduating from her first teacher training Mikky immediately began teaching studio classes, community classes, and private yoga. She is now known for her community yoga classes, inclusive and adaptive teaching style, offering plenty of pose variations, intuitive hands-on adjustments, soothing restorative yoga and community rest mini-retreats, breathwork, and guided meditations (extended savasana, yoga nidra, non-sleep deep rest). Mikky is constantly reading, practicing, and researching all things yoga, and beyond as well as being quite the crafter. She strives to honor and explore the roots of yoga while creating a welcoming and inspiring experience for all. Mikky's sincerest hope is that each session leaves you feeling how you want to feel, whether it's calm, balanced, strong, focused, clear, or supported -- so you can show up in the world and for the people you love.
