
Mindy has been practicing yoga for approximately years and began teaching in after becoming certified in Interdisciplinary Hatha Yoga She is registered with the Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Yoga Teacher E-RYT and a YA-CEP Mindy has completed a - hour advanced teacher training with a focus on anatomy and physiology modifying and adapting the practice of yoga for unique populations and learning the skills of intake assessment and intervention to address the needs of all individuals Mindys approach to Hatha Yoga is informed by prop friendly yoga traditions years of workshops with anatomy oriented Doug Keller and the belief that our greatest teacher is our own unique and innate wisdom from within! Mindy has a background in clinical social work MSW and a special appreciation for Hatha Yogas potential to strengthen the mind body and heart connection Mindys teaching intention is to promote health and well being on and off the yoga mat and she emphasizes personal choice and creativity in her classes She has over hours of specialized training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga with Dave Emerson of the Boston Trauma Institute Mindy is also a registered Maine Recreational Guide and loves bringing yoga asana posture and mindfulness practice outdoors! She leads Nature Based Yoga experiences including Yoga Hikes Paddle board Yoga and Beach Yoga classes in warmer weather Mindy teaches full time in a variety of settings including Yoga Studios Community Centers Schools and in Nature She shares yoga with practitioners of all ages and abilities including children and is also certified in Childlight Yoga Prenatal Yoga and Yin Yoga Mindy recently developed Yoga Muse School of Yoga a registered School with the yoga alliance RYS and she leads a hour yoga teacher training program as well as continuing education workshops for teachers and practitioners of all levels of experience.
