About
I have practiced yoga since 1988 when I took my first Yoga class at San Jose State University.
Since then I have explored many different styles of yoga. I have benefited not only from improved general health in the body, but also the calming and centering of the mind. I began to think about ways in which yoga can affect a positive change in the world . I decided to begin giving back through participation in Yoga for Hope which is a charity event raising money for cancer and AIDS research. I decided to go further and deepen my practice in 2014 with a 200hr teacher training with Wanderlust that explored a well rounded and complete look at yoga. I was amazed to begin learning so much about yoga philosophy and meditation. . I continued my studies, earning certification in the Hot 26 in October of 2015, and completing my 500 hour advanced yoga teacher training with the Alaya school in April of 2017. I continue to study yoga, advancing my teaching toolbox to include Yin in 2018, sound healing in 2023, and chair yoga in 2024. I am interested in sharing with the community the connection between breath, mind, and body which brings health and peace of mind. I continue to keep yoga a dynamic influence in my life by studying Sanskrit, luminous soul and advanced asana training. I love to learn from other teachers and explore all that yoga has to offer us. I am currently teaching Hot yoga, vinyasa, yin yoga, and chair yoga as well as offering yin and sound healing workshops with my husband Matt.
