About
Monica Motley began practicing yoga in 2005.
The life-changing benefits she discovered in her own practice inspired her to share the gift of yoga with her students. Monica has been teaching Vinyasa Yoga since 2010. She is a Yoga Alliance 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Monica completed her 200-hour and 500-hour yoga teacher training at Charm City Yoga with Kim Manfredi in Baltimore, Maryland. Monica continued her education by completing another 200-hour yoga teacher training at YogaWorks with Jennie Cohen. Monica continues to be inspired through workshops, classes, and training with teachers including Dharma Mittra, Janet Stone, Mark Morford, Jason Crandell, Pete Guinosso, Faith Hunter, and Cyndi Lee. Monica has been on the 200-hour Teacher Training staff at YogaWorks Baltimore since 2015. Monica has also been a Program Mentor and Workshop Leader in the 300-hour Teacher Training Professional Program at YogaWorks Baltimore since 2016. Monica currently lives in Maryland where she continues to study, practice, and teach her passion at YogaWorks Baltimore locations. In addition, she teaches private yoga sessions, events, workshops, and retreats. Off the mat, Monica is a mother of four daughters with a passion for travel and adventure. Monica teaches an athletic and flowing Vinyasa class with a focus on technique and alignment. Monica focuses on awareness and connection between the breath, body, and mind – offering modifications for beginner students and variations to challenge the more seasoned practitioner. Be prepared to sweat and move freely, finding increased strength, flexibility, endurance, balance, and relaxation. Monica encourages students to challenge the physical body while calming the mind and spirit -- leaving them feeling stronger, more energized, and more balanced.
