About
Nadine first discovered yoga as a teenager when she read Ram Dass’s classic Be Here Now.
A classically trained ballet dancer, she found that asana practice served as an effective tool to sharpen her concentration in efforts towards meditation. Nadine’s understanding of the human body in motion is enhanced by over two decades of experience as a dancer, choreographer, and dance educator. After many years of practicing and teaching Ashtanga Yoga, she sought out Master Teacher Cyndi Lee to explore a sustainable approach to Vinyasa Yoga and is in the process of completing Cyndi’s advanced Om Yoga Teacher Training. Nadine’s mission is to make yoga accessible to all; she works with students of all abilities, from seasoned practitioners to those dealing with profound physical hurdles such as Parkinson’s. Her distinctive Vinyasa classes reflect a strong Krishnamacharya-lineage based background, alignment, and the spontaneity of intuitively guided movement. Nadine is an experienced toLabor and DONA trained birth doula. For over a decade, she has worked as an advocate for adult and child survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and served as yoga and meditation teacher at a local mental health facility for teen trauma survivors. Nadine currently teaches private sessions, group classes, workshops, and has created a successful a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program. She resides in Richmond with her two amazing daughters and two rescue dogs.
