About

I’m Nichole Fairbanks and I’m passionate about helping others feel their best.

I discovered yoga over 15 years ago in CA, and after trying many different forms of yoga, I stumbled upon Yin yoga and have been in love with it ever since. It is such a challenge both mentally and physically to slow down and be present, yet it is also so rewarding for your body, mind, and spirit. My joints feel so open and spacious after a Yin class. As a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) for more than 15 years, I enjoy helping others to relieve stress, tension, pain, and to find relaxation and peace of mind. I realized that I wanted to teach yoga in the middle of a Yin class one day, the idea just popped into my head and it seemed like such a natural step that I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought of it sooner. Shortly after, I began my 200 hour Yoga teacher training at the Maine School of Yoga with Tisha Bremner in Lewiston, ME and graduated in June of 2019. I have also taken a 20 hour Yoga Nidra certification with Robin Ivy-Patton at Tula/The Breathing Room, and a 30 hour Yin Yoga and Meditation training with Sagel Urlacher at Greener Postures in Falmouth, ME. Prior to teaching yoga, I have been a LMT in Auburn, ME and CA, with over 800 hours of massage training from SpaTech Institute in Westbrook, ME and Lifestream Massage School in Napa, CA. I love energy work as well, I am Reiki I and II certified by Patricia Keene, at Oakledge Polarity. I’m also a Certified Polarity Practitioner through SpaTech Institute. I am looking forward to sharing different forms of yoga and meditation with others to assist them in discovering the amazing potential that we all have within ourselves. I believe that yoga can help anyone return to their true self, which is always there but sometimes gets lost or forgotten in this hectic world. There is no need to be “flexible” or “perfect” in yoga, every body is structured differently and everyone will be at different levels, and I’m here to say that is OK! What’s most important is that you show up on your mat, take time for yourself, and BREATHE. I hope to make yoga accessible to anyone who is interested in benefiting from this wonderful practice.
