Nicole has been a yoga practitioner for over 12 years and credits the practice with helping her to not only develop a deeper connection with her mind and body, but allowing her to cultivate love, kindness, and patience during challenging times.
She was inspired to become a yoga teacher so that she might share the benefits of yoga with people of all ages. Nicole aims to provide a supportive, safe, and creative environment for students to explore and connect with themselves. She enjoys incorporating classical hatha yoga elements into her classes, such as chanting and pranayama. She loves to integrate her education and experience as a librarian into her yoga offerings, including combining yoga, meditation, and a selected book for mindful book discussions. For youth, she aims to provide opportunities for children to create art, learn early literacy skills, and participate in storytelling. Off the mat, she loves to read, paint, travel, kayak, and spend time with animals (especially cats).
