I was born and raised in Chicagoland yes Michael Jordan was my childhood hero! and currently reside in the sweet small village of Lemont Illinois ​ I was always an athlete growing up and played volleyball soccer and ran marathons I was devastated after a volleyball injury that led to two ACL knee surgeries and difficult rehabilitation That is when I deepened my yoga practice which brought tremendous strength and awareness into my life I truly believe in the power of connecting mind body and spirit through the breath Before I became a full-time yoga teacher I had a global finance career traveled the world and received a Kellogg MBA from Northwestern University Little did I know back then when establishing a lunchtime yoga program for fellow associates that journey would lead me to becoming a full-time traveling yoga teacher I know firsthand the stress of corporate life and want to share the tool of yoga as a means to live a healthier more mindful lifestyle Today I am an experienced traveling yoga teacher E-RYT certified in multiple different Hatha yoga disciplines I have been teaching since and my teaching style is heavily influenced by longtime teacher Carmen Aguilar who founded cYoga  I am also a dedicated student of Sara Strothers and receive mentoring from Katya Sidelnik My classes are creatively dynamic with a focus on alignment and utilizing props Yoga philosophy anatomy peak poses props and my passion for music are woven into the fabric of my teaching While I love to advance in my own physical asana practice I also crave the stillness of the restorative practice Life is a balance of the yang and the yin— students will experience the best of both in my classes I believe that I will always be a student I also encourage my students to be curious in their practice My unquenchable thirst for learning is evident in that no two classes of mine are the same I constantly seek out teachers trainings and classes to continuously build my skillset and increase my yoga toolbox to share with my students I am a strong advocate for girl/women empowerment and love working with Mission Propelle an organization that empowers girls through yoga literacy and leadership When I am not practicing teaching or studying yoga I love to travel study German and other new languages practice photography and play the clarinet in the Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band I am ecstatic and humbled for the opportunity to share positive space with fellow teachers and students and grow in our yoga practice—together Ready to join me?.
