About

I was a person who did not think I had the patience for yoga, but patience found me, when I found yoga.

I went to the gym daily and practiced pilates and Zumba on a regular basis prior to. I liked the high energy. My sister first introduced me to yoga and said that we should go. So, when she was in town, there was a yoga studio right around the corner from me. I attended, but I wasn’t sold. I just did not feel that connection. I felt it was a little “slow” for me. Several months went by and I wasn’t sleeping well. The owner of the studio I attended, told me to give it try again, try another instructor. So, that just what I did. I have never stopped practicing since. Yoga has given me the patience, brought down my energy and made me appreciate the moment. Finding the right instructor was key for me and I didn’t know that until I met “Jennifer”. She was kind, soft spoken, beautiful and the epitome of what I thought a yoga teacher should be. Jump ahead several years. I had given up Zumba, due to my bad knees and pilates since yoga became a regular practice for me. I changed gyms where they did not have a regular yoga class until one day, they did. A few of the gym trainers ran the class, but it seemed I had more interest than they did. They asked me if I would want to teach. I was so taken back. I had never considered it since running my own business (bed and breakfast), this was something completely foreign to me. I knew the class was a group of beginners, so I decided to give it a shot. It didn’t take long for me to start teaching twice a week. As the classes became bigger, I wanted to commit to my students as much as they had committed to me. So, I decided to become certified to teach. I closed my business (bed and breakfast) for six weeks, headed down to the Florida Keys and was introduced to a new world of yoga. After weeks of training, studying and student teaching I was anxious to be back and give back what I learned. Yoga will be with me forever. It has helped my balance (physically and mentally), helped with sleep, digestion, attitude and over all well-being. I invite you to join us for a group class, private session or workshop. My classes range from slow flow, vinyasa, to power yoga and everything in between. Each class and instructor is different. Thankfully, I am where I am today because of that insight.
