Training: Olivia Reid is a Registered Yoga Teacher RYT with Yoga Alliance which acknowledges the completion of a HR Hatha yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School RYS Sage Yoga Studios Certified Trapeze Yoga Instructor HR with the school of YogaBody Certified SUP Yoga HR with the school of Floating Yogis Certified Be Well Yoga for Cancer Recovery HR with Be Well Inc Certified TRX Suspension Trainer and TRX for yoga Certified Aerial Level and Level with Trilogy Sanctuary combined +HR Bungee Training certified HR with Grounded Aerial Olivia has dabbled with some training with the Yoga Wall Reiki Level II certified with Morgen Brunner and certified in Intention Mala Bracelet present moment mediation She is currently working on her HR HR Fascia Release HR Meditation Aerial Low Hammock Somatic Release Ayurveda Nutrition & Yin certifications She is also a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine NASM-CPT As a passionate instructor and dedicated yoga student Olivia constantly broadens her horizons participating in regular teacher trainings and workshops in order to more effectively assist her students and herself Back Story: Olivia fell in love with the practice of yoga after taking her first yoga class on base at Camp Pendleton in the summer of She loved the way it made not only her body feel but also her mind and wanted to share this feeling with the world Olivia admits that her first couple of classes were pretty challenging with the chaturangas balance poses and even downward facing dog but by the end of class she left feeling renewed She felt clarity in her thoughts and vitality in her body She knew that she must continue this practice and eventually become a practicing yoga instructor It wasnt until years later that she was laid off from her job as a real estate office manager that she took the opportunity to become a certified yoga instructor An opportunity that she could not pass up Olivia attained her HR certification from Sage Yoga Studios She feels blessed to have received such diverse knowledge and training with Sage Learning from many different instructors + teaching styles and yoga philosophies have broadened her teaching scope completely and she is forever grateful for Sage Reyna studio owner and the opportunities the studio has brought her During her HR yoga training she attained a HR Trapeze Yoga certification A type of yoga that takes flight Trapeze Yoga involves an inversion and suspension practice focusing on upper body and core strength flexibility back bends and spinal traction for back pain relief After graduating from her HR she began teaching right away in local yoga studios like Sage Yoga Studios as well as in Camp Pendleton gyms Shortly after completing her hours she enrolled in a HR Yoga for Cancer Recovery A very specialized training centered on restoring balance physically/emotionally to the bodys natural immune system to individuals and their families dealing with cancer Olivias Classes: More than anything Olivia loves the practice of helping others help themselves Through yoga Olivia hopes her students walk away feeling refreshed rejuvenated and empowered to take on the day  Olivia is always looking for ways to grow and learn in her personal practice so that she can bring the experience to her students She is currently working on her HR certification To her yoga is all about the mind/body connection and how the two work together Her classes focus on mindful breathing techniques that connect with movement through playful balance flows conditioning strength poses muscle lengthening stretches and functional mobility for overall body awareness and health Arm balances are a favorite of hers and she always gives an option for students to work on their arm balance of choice each class! Neck/shoulder work is always incorporated as this area of the body is a place where we all hold tension emotional/physical Two of her favorite specialty classes to teach are goat yoga and trapeze yoga! Overall Yoga has taught Olivia to enjoy the practice or process of life choosing to learn and grow rather than reaching an end or perfection Learning how to be more present has allowed her to enjoy life in a greater way! A lesson she hopes all of her students will take away from each one of her classes Personal Practice: Olivia loves arm balances of all kinds and looks to incorporate at least one in each class sequence Because a lot of balance poses like half-moon tend to be a weakness she looks to do them more frequently in order to challenge herself Restorative yoga and breath work are a must to keep her sane and healthy in the course of her work as a REALTOR® Back-bends and shoulder mobility come naturally to her and are practiced regularly in order keep the spine young and happy Olivia incorporates weight lifting to her weekly workout routine therefore Yin yoga is a need in order to keep the muscles at ease When in doubt shake it out  “Our bodies are capable of so much if we are only patience enough to let ourselves try and to learn from our attempts” Off The Mat: When Olivia is not teaching yoga she is most enjoying time with her family and looking for ways to give back to the community She is always on the alert for new adventures of any kind In her free time you might find Olivia at the beach soaking up the sun exploring nature playing with videography or curled up watching a new movie with her husband.
