I discovered yoga when I was eighteen.
I remember classes as if it was yesterday. My teacher spent a lot of time teaching us the art of breathing. At that time, I was learning the full yogic breath, this so powerful technique to re-center oneself. As an executive in big companies, yoga has helped me throughout my career to gain serenity. I became a yoga teacher so that more people could benefit from the balance that yoga provides. Today my teaching is a result of my yoga journey : Hatha yoga and yoga Iyengar in France, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and most recently in the United States, Ashtanga vinyasa, Viniyoga and Yin yoga. My goal is to share the benefits of yoga for the body and the mind, with a deep awareness and respect for oneself. I want to pass onto others what yoga has to offer. This includes : For companies, courses focused on strengthening concentration, self-confidence, and self-awareness to help fight stress and anxiety, along with relieving back pain and promoting relaxation, For local communities, an opportunity to offer free outdoor or indoor sessions accessible to all, focusing on the discovery of the fundamentals of yoga, In holiday resorts to enjoy even more this time for oneself, At home or outside, with private and tailor-made lessons, Or in studio to share my passion with other yogis. Patricia Chaperon is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS)
