About
I've practiced yoga for 17 years.
I began teaching, under the guidance of my mentor Melissa, in March 2005. I completed my 200 hour Vinyasa training in 2009 with Rolf Gates. I have been teaching Vinyasa since then. I love to learn from teachers and practitioners and have completed training in Yin Yoga and Levels 1-3 of Radiant Child Yoga program and Yoga for Children with ADHD, Autism, and Those Who are Differently-Abled. For the past 6 years I have been teaching as a sole proprietor in CT teaching adults vinyasa as well as adults with developmental disabilities and young adults on the Autism Spectrum. I believe that yoga is accessible to all and my aim it to bring yoga to people who may not think it is for them. When I teach, I encourage people to listen to their bodies and take the modifications I offer that are appropriate for them. I have recently married and am moving to Texas in October from Conneticut. I recently left my full time job of the past 24 years, as a Vice President of a social service agency that provides services to adults with developmental disabilities. In addition to teaching yoga, I have over 30 years experience working with people with disabilities. I have a MA in Education.
