Paul has been a practitioner, student and teacher of the Asian healing and contemplative movement arts for the past 30 years.
He has studied in China, Los Angeles and New York. He has taught and lectured at various locations throughout the greater South Shore and Cape Cod, Florida and Los Angeles. Paul also founded and developed the Tai Qi program for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and has taught Tai Qi, Qi Qong and Mindfulness Meditation to MS Patients and caregivers at the Hanover YMCA and Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He is currently working with Compassionate Care ALS in developing a similar program for caregivers of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He is a practitioner of Oriental Bodywork Therapy specializing in Shiatsu, Thai and acupressure and is an enthusiast of herbal medicine. In addition, Paul is also an internationally registered Somatic Movement Therapist, certified in SomaSoul Somatic Expressive therapy and Shake Your Soul: The yoga of dance. He presently has a private bodywork and teaching practice in the greater Plymouth area and is the cofounder of Breathing Lotus Living Arts. Paul David Shea is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
