I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences University of Louisville My education includes a BA degree in Psychology University of Notre Dame MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology DePaul University and an MS degree in Exercise Physiology University of Louisville In addition to being a licensed psychologist and an RYT/ Yoga instructor I am also certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Physiologist by the Road Runners Club of America as a running coach and by the YMCA as a LiveStrong Cancer/Exercise Instructor  I teach a weekly mindfulness-based yoga class a community fitness center as well as at a local Air National Guard base My formative training in yoga was with Judi Rice an Iyengar-certified teacher and I completed my RYT/ training under the supervision of Todd Graddy a certified yoga teacher and psychotherapist My intention in practicing and teaching yoga is to integrate it into a broad framework of mindfulness-based health and wellness I have developed a yoga/meditation-inspired fitness training program for runners MindFit/Run and am the author of Mindful Movement in Psychotherapy Guilford Publishers.
