Paula is a Shambhavananda certified hatha yoga instructor.
Rooted in Kashmiri Shaivism, this extraordinary hatha yoga path is taught in private and group settings. Vinyasa flow and pranayama sessions are available. Honey Tree Studios offers hour-long basic sessions, and also specializes in attention to those living with chronic pain, mobility issues, traumatic injury, and those who wish to return mindfulness and vitality to their lives. 200RYT 2008, and 500 RYT 2018, and E-RYT500 2022. She began her yoga practice with Seattle hatha yoga instructor, Kathy Stippich, in the Iyengar tradition. She received instruction in, and further deeply-rooted her meditation practices in the Vajrayana Tradition, at the Rocky Mountain Shambhala Center, Colorado, further complementing her yoga studies by learning traditional Tibetan Thangka painting and working on the interior murals at the Great Stupa of Dharmakaya under the tutelage of stupa architect Joshua Muldoon and his assistant, Josh Smith. She again studied Thangka painting with Master Karma Phuntsok, in a one-week intensive studio environment. She teaches and practices daily asana and meditation, and lives a compassionate vegan life of ahimsa, honoring all sentient beings. Visit her on the web at facebook. Her teaching certifications (RYT200 2008, RYT500 2018, and E-RYT500 2022) were earned at the Shoshoni campus in Rollinsville, Colorado, and the sangha at Shambhava ashram in Boulder, Colorado. Additionally, she holds individual certifications in: Vinyasa Flow Yoga for Wellbeing Adjustments and Teaching Skills She continues her education nationally, and home daily practice with mindfulness as to the needs of others in her teaching practice. She has traveled to South America, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Canada, and America's major Cities (Atlanta, New York, Washington, Seattle, and others) to deepen her awareness, experience and compassion. She has taught commercial studio groups, conducted workshops, and currently focuses on private specialty sessions. She holds university degrees of AA, BS, MA and was the only 1987 Wyoming Doctoral WICHE Scholar, at Washington State University.
