While I had some informal yoga exposure as a kid I took my first formal western-style yoga class in and was instantly drawn to this form of wellness I found that yoga was much more inviting and interesting than my solo workouts at the gym I discovered that yoga really can challenge the body and bring calmness to the mind As a high school biology teacher and mother of two energetic kids those rewards were very appealing Fast forward a bunch of years and Im still practicing! I took my first teacher training in solely to enhance my personal practice Compelled by the desire to share the gift of yoga with others I went on to complete my -hour Teacher Training in I completed my -hour Advanced Teacher Training in My love of learning encourages me to keep taking courses workshops and trainings The part of teaching I enjoy most is helping students to feel comfortable and confident in their expression of the poses and open to changes in their practice over time I help train new teachers and offer continuing education I dont take myself too seriously and I like to bring a little humor to each class.
