About

Rachel Hopkins (she/her) is a yogi, athlete, and licensed clinical psychologist.

Rachel first came to yoga many years ago following sports related injuries and a deep seated fear of losing functioning and no longer being able to do the things she loves. What started as a physically focused practiced, changed to a way of shifting the mind through moving the body. As a person who loves working hard physically and mentally, mental chatter was constant throughout the day. Showing up for practice was a consistent and reliable way to quiet down the chatter and gain a sense of peace and contentment. Eventually, yoga stuck for good due to the peace, focus, and quieting of the mind. Off the mat, Rachel works with folks who are struggling with unwanted internal experiences (painful emotions, thoughts, memories, chronic physical pain, etc.). She finds meaning helping people get unstuck from the battle of trying to get rid of these experiences and live a life that is fuller, more meaningful, and more aligned with being the kind of person they want to be. Rachel teaches folks mindfulness, compassion, emotional acceptance, and flexible thinking skills and these are bound to show up on the mat as well. In her free time, she’s forever practicing hobby management. She enjoys all the Colorado activities including trail running, mountain biking, skiing in bounds and in the backcountry, camping, and backpacking. At home you can find her in the garden or in the kitchen, preferably making delicious things, grown from her own garden, for the people she loves. As a life-long learner, Rachel took the leap and completed Yoga Teacher Training at Cambio in 2024. If you come to her class, you can expect to leave with a sense of groundedness, self-love, self-acceptance, and maybe even some tips for building a resilient and flexible mind.
