About
Rani discovered the physical healing effects of yoga in her mid-twenties when her physiotherapist recommended it for back pain management.
Over the past 20 years, she has been on a journey to deepen her knowledge of asana practice and its physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual benefits. Rani's practice of yoga has been strengthened by her study of vedanta and buddhism primarily in the tradition of Thich Nacht Hanh. In her classes, she encourages students to lean into the meditative experience of yoga practice while having fun with yoga postures. She believes yoga has something to offer everyone and welcomes people from all walks of life into her classes. Rani has been practicing with yoga district since 2022 when she moved to DC and has just completed her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga District.
