About
I wandered into my first yoga class the week before I got married in 2000.
Little did I know that these two separate events would become so significantly intertwined, offering profound stability to my life. In 2004 I completed a 200-hour YTT certification and began teaching straight away. With the exception of a 6-month maternity break, I have taught continuously, at various studios throughout Atlanta. I’ve maintained my certification with The Yoga Alliance over the years, plus added the status of E-RYT in 2015, and I co-lead several 200-hour YTT programs. To retain these teaching credentials, I have participated in continuing education courses for Kids Yoga, Yoga for Trauma and Yin yoga, as well as a multitude of advanced workshops with renowned senior teachers. We often hear that the practice of Yoga is meant to meet us where we are and I certainly find that to be true. My practice can look very different from one day to the next, and I take cues from how I am feeling and what is going on in my life. That being said, Vinyasa yoga has remained a constant in my life since the early years. Lately I have been incorporating Yin and Restorative yoga into my regular practice to help counter-balance the tugs of daily life.
