About

Rebecca began practicing yoga as a way to increase flexibility after years of competitive sports.

After swimming competitively while earning her B.A. in psychology at Washington College, Rebecca completed her Masters in School Psychology at the University of Delaware. She also began running marathons and competing in triathlons. It was at this point that she began to add yoga into her routine to supplement her training. After noticing improvements in her health, happiness, energy levels, and general well-being, Rebecca decided she wanted to share the positive impact of yoga with others. She believes that yoga can be beneficial for every person at every age, and strives to create an atmosphere in her class where each person can feel comfortable exploring their own individual practice. She earned her both her 200 and 300 hour teacher training certificates with Kim Manfredi in Baltimore, MD. She also completed a second 300 hour advanced training with Jason Crandell. Rebecca taught at Charm City Yoga in Baltimore before moving to Ocean City, Maryland, where she currently teaches. She has been fortunate enough to attend workshops with renowned teachers such as Kathryn Budig, Dice Iida-Klein, and Chelsey Korus, amongst others. Rebecca is the lead teacher of the RYS-200 through Rebecca Sirman Yoga, which has been offered at several studios including SoulFire Collective, YogaVibez, and YogaVIbez Edgewater.
