About
I was introduced to yoga as a teenager and discovered the benefits of yoga once I committed to practicing yoga on a regular basis in 2008.
Not only do I practice yoga for the mental benefits of stress reduction and relaxation, being a runner for many years, I appreciate the cross training aspect that yoga brings to staying in shape and stretching out my tight hamstrings. I am a Special Education teacher of children ages 4-6 with Autism. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education as well as a Master's Degree in Education with a Reading Specialist certification. I use my knowledge of asanas and Autism to develop yoga routines myself and my staff practice with our students at school. I have passion for both working with children with special needs and being healthy. A regular yoga practice, running several days a week, and working with my students helps me to be a happy and healthy adult.
