About
Yoga Naturel: My yoga teaching methodology combines Traditional Yoga & Cardio HIIT Yoga disciplines with Nature Treks & Smartphone Photography.
The primary traditional yoga disciplines are a blend of Vinyasa, Power Flow and Restorative Therapeutics with a concentration on three Yoga styles or disciplines: 1) Hatha Yoga 2) Bhagavad Gita Yoga, and 3) Patanjali Yoga Sutras. Cardio HIIT Yoga is High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) which consists of short bursts of intense work followed by a quick recovery period and then right back to the tough work. The Approach: While “forest bathing” in nature, you will hike, explore or trek to a "yoga retreat" destination with beautiful and dynamic views. A yoga retreat is a getaway that combines yoga practice, meditation, and relaxation to promote well-being; it's a time for unwinding, self-discovery, and connection with oneself and others. At the destination, you will then participate in several "vinyasa" sequences of yoga poses (“asanas”). You will then merge the practice of mediation & mindfulness with the practice of yoga to cultivate a greater awareness, inner peace, consciousness and improved quality of life. Additionally, you will be taught the art of smartphone photography skills. With Yoga Naturel, one can combine traditional yoga disciplines and nature treks. Additionally, one can elevate their Smartphone Photography skills; one can capture stunning photography and enjoy spectacular nature-based destinations imbued with a natural ambience or Ambiance Naturelle. Yoga Naturel involves the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing” or “taking in the forest atmosphere”). Shinrin-yoku is the practice of spending time in nature as a way to reduce stress and anxiety. Yoga Naturel allows participants an opportunity to galvanize yoga disciplines with amazing vistas and natural environments. The objective of Yoga Naturel is to execute yoga routines in a more reflective, meditative and mindful manner -- to experience “Nature through Yoga.” With Yoga Naturel, one can elevate one's life by yoga disciplines while connecting with nature and realizing the sublime and profound effect on the canvas of body, mind and soul. Yoga Naturel - c'est un yoga du corps, de l'esprit, et de l'âme; Natural Yoga is nature-based yoga of the body. mind, and spirit! Yoga Naturel is a style of yoga that focuses on connecting with nature, the elements, and the natural world around us. Yoga Naturel encourages practitioners to find peace and balance through a deep connection with nature and to use this connection to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga. Richard Olsen is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of the yoga teacher training with Yoga Assets, a Registered Yoga School (RYS). Yoga Disciplines taught are a blend of Vinyasa, Power Flow and Restorative Therapeutics. Emphasis is on three styles of Yoga: 1) Hatha Yoga, 2) Bhagavad Gita Yoga, and 3) Patanjali Yoga Sutras.
