Robs yoga journey began in his youth when he first encountered yoga and meditation as a way to improve his mental focus as a wrestler and football player But it wasnt until much later during a personal weight loss journey that yoga truly found its way into his heart and life Reconnecting with the practice Rob quickly discovered how yoga provided not only physical benefits but also a profound mental shift—calming his mind and grounding his presence This sparked a deeper curiosity and soon he felt called to understand yoga on a more intimate level In Rob completed his RYT- training at the YogaLife Institute of NH immersing himself in classical yoga traditions He is currently finishing his hour training at the Portland Yoga project His teaching style is a blend of Vinyasa and Classical yoga with a gentle nod to Yin emphasizing both the flow and the rootedness of yogas timeless philosophy For Rob yoga is about more than just asanas—its about connection: to the body the breath and the rich history of the practice itself Through his classes he encourages students to tap into the profound inner peace yoga can offer while also recognizing that yoga is for everybody—no matter where they are on their journey Having once felt out of place in a studio Rob understands the vulnerability that can accompany stepping onto the mat for the first time He hopes to be a guide for those hesitant to practice showing them that the yoga community is welcoming and inclusive As a teacher Rob believes yoga is an ever-evolving path and he remains deeply committed to learning and growing within its vast landscape When hes not on the mat Rob works in regional planning and natural resources using his skills as a mapmaker to explore and analyze data Outside of work Rob enjoys spending time in nature—whether its hiking through the woods or woodworking at home He treasures the moments shared with his partner child and their golden retriever Ted always finding ways to live in harmony with the world around him For Rob yoga is a lifelong journey—one of learning connecting and growing into the fullest version of oneself And hes just getting started.
