About

Robin is a native of the Pacific Northwest.

She spent 13 years traveling, raising her family, and acquiring knowledge and skills in Asia. She spent 6 years in Guangzhou, China, 3 years in Shanghai, China, and 4 years in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She now makes her home in Honolulu, Hawai'i, partnering with local studios and founding Blue Egg Yoga in 2025.Robin completed her 200 hour training with Suzanne Vian at Jiva Yoga Saigon and she completed her 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training in the FluidUs Method with Carlos and Devon Tao. Additionally, Robin is a registered Children's Yoga Teacher and has training in Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Yoga. Most recently, Robin received AIReal Yoga and AIReal Restore training with Carmen Curtis, Founder of AIReal Yoga. She is enjoying teaching AIReal Yoga in addition to her floor-based offerings. From all these different vantage points, Robin enjoys teaching both the young and the young-at-heart. She was a preschool teacher and program leader for seven years, teaching both mainstream and special needs children. Her goal then and now is to inspire curious, confident, and creative kids and she brings a wealth of practical classroom knowledge and experience to her children’s yoga classes. At the same time, Robin had immersed herself in the study of keeping vibrant and healthy as we get older. She is dedicated to the pursuit of aging gracefully and is fascinated by the recent breakthroughs in science regarding fascia, somatics, and functional movement and their implications for the practice of yoga. This curiosity has fueled exploration and experimentation to create a style of yoga that is playful and dynamic, with practical application for everyone from absolute beginners to more advanced practitioners. She links functional movement skills, breath mechanics, and novel approaches to traditional poses to increase body awareness, mobility, and build an organic mind/body connection. As a long time practitioner, Robin has personally seen and felt the difference that a regular yoga practice can make in a person’s life. She sees yoga as a doorway, beginning with asana and progressing from there into meditation, awareness, understanding, and finally acceptance of ourselves and others. She views yoga as a powerful and essential practice to help navigate the modern world.
