About

Rodney is a native New Orleanian and spent 34 years working (i.e., sitting on his butt) as a corporate executive.

Yoga thankfully and belatedly found him at the tail end (pun intended) of his corporate career where his boss encouraged him to lead weekly yoga classes for his co-workers. His love, passion and gratefulness for the practice and his background in corporate training led him to become RYT-200 certified under the tutelage of Cat McCarthy, Sue Brooks, Karen Henderson and Liz Hoffman. Rodney has also earned his RYT-300 certification to become an RYT-500 certified yoga teacher under the tutelage of Sue Brooks, Melissa Smith, Richard Wilkinson, Trina Altman, Bhavani Maki, Giaconda Parker, Christina Sell, Cat McCarthy, Desirree Rumbaugh, Jules Mitchell and Doug Keller. Rodney’s teaching style is authentic, encouraging and positive, and he aims to blend humor and hard work into each class. He is married with three adult children and enjoys traveling, backpacking, daily walks and good Cajun food when not on the mat. Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu - “May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may our thoughts, words, and actions contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.”
