My yoga journey began as a toddler exiting the playpen unassisted  From that freedom I learned that movement is key there are no limits the outdoors await and I have never been alone I am one of the many and the many in the one   I came to yoga training in a powerful way in and have not stopped practicing  I went on for my RYT and RYT with Jacki McCausland Angela Caplan and Ruth Ann Polito at Shakti Yoga in Geneseo NY   I thrive on working with enthusiastic students who teach me as I teach them  I am a visual learner and see so much in the faces and postures of my students  I am passionate about sharing yoga with anyone whos open to the practice  I find myself in heart felt conversations with fellow embodied spirits and always fall on the same response for ailments joys pains and triumphs – the answer is yoga  Whats the question?  In undergraduate school I was a dance minor at SUNY Geneseo; primarily modern dance  I was divinely blessed to study under Jacki McCausland who was a student of the great Nona Shurman student of Doris Humphrey and Charles Weidman  I didnt realize then that my movement education stemmed from deep and moving lineages  Wisdom passed down from great sages to students like me in the present   Another student and teacher in the SUNY Geneseo dance program was Angela Caplan  Now theres the ironic part  These two women Jacki and Angela many years later became my yoga teachers my mentors and loved gurus  Their lifelong commitment to sharing their yogic-way-of-life-Sakti-Power has deeply impacted me as well as all the yogis in our kula.
