Sandra Casey

  My personal focus has been to integrate my professional skills as a nurse clinician into my yoga practice and into my teachings as a yoga teacher and yoga therapeutic elements.   Additional education:  My basic yoga teacher training was taught by an Iyengar educated yoga teacher, and then I began  expanding my teacher training skills with yoga teacher trainings and styles from the traditions of Anusara, Pure Yoga, and Yin and Yang Yoga. I continued by education by becoming a certified Yoga including therapeutic elements at the advanced level through Integrative Yoga.   Additional Trainings:  I received my Cardiac Yoga Certification through Integral yoga, and teacher training in Cardiac Wellness from the Beth Israel Mind/Body Institute. I completed the Jon Kabit Zinn led professional training, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program for health care professionals and I also completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Practicum Program at U of Mass. I added certification for the 3 levels of Reiki. Certified in Yoga for Cancer through Y4C.   I have taught Yoga with an emphasis on Yoga Therapeutic Elements since 2001.  I previously directed The Cardiac Wellness Program an affiliate of Harvard's Herbert Benson Mind Body Program at The Integrative Center in Boca Raton as well as Oncology Yoga at the Lynn Cancer Center.   Currently,  I teach Integrative Yoga classes at Holy Cross Hospital Wellness Center and Integrative Yoga private sessions.
