Sara Syed began practicing yoga in while still in high school discovering it as a lifeline during her personal journey through addiction anxiety disordered eating and depression From her very first experiences on the mat she felt the profound healing power of yoga and meditation—a sense of inner peace stability and reconnection that would guide the course of her life Her yoga journey began in Cleveland Ohio and has since taken her around the world In Sara completed her first yoga teacher training in Cahuita Costa Rica She later traveled to Mysore India where she earned her -hour certification from Yogadarshanam Ashtanga/Hatha Yoga School and studied at the renowned K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute under Saraswathi Jois In she completed an additional -hour training with Kino MacGregor through the Miami Life Center Sara has taught hundreds of students across diverse settings—from universities schools and yoga studios to mental health facilities juvenile detention centers and community festivals Her teaching reflects a deep respect for the roots of the practice and a heartfelt desire to make yoga accessible to everyone regardless of background or experience In addition to yoga Sara is a dedicated meditation practitioner She regularly attends -day silent Vipassana retreats in the lineage of the Buddha which continue to shape her contemplative depth and presence in teaching Sara offers a holistic and spiritually grounded approach to living and teaching Her classes are accessible nurturing and breath-centered designed to regulate the nervous system quiet the mind and reconnect students with their inner strength Students often leave her classes feeling calm empowered inspired—and deeply loved.
