About

I teach an array of private and community classes in Asheville, NC, as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT)-200.

The word "yoga" is a Sanskrit word that translates in English to the meaning "to yoke," better understood in today's terms as "to unite". This is my yoga mission: to mindfully incorporate postures, steady focus and breathing techniques in order that we learn to tap into our truest Self, and therefore more wholeheartedly connect to and protect the world around us. With my training background in Vinyasa (flow) Ashtanga at Omcore Yoga in St. Simons Island, GA, I incorporate core muscle usage and flowing with the breath in nearly every class (from Chair to Power Yoga). The key to being a strong yogi does not depend on what postures you can put your body into, but rather, what happens internally as you work through the practice. Join me in transforming yourself from inside-out, from on to off the mat!!
