About

Personal Teaching Style: My goal in every class I teach is to have the student feel comfortable, welcomed, and empowered enough to explore and honor what they need from class.

Rather than making the class based around a workout or focusing on what the pose is "supposed" to look like, I instead focus on how the pose feels within the body. I also focus on the mindfulness practice of breath and presence during class. I believe each class is an opportunity for the student to release and let in what they need...making it more than just an hour to simply move the body. Achievements: Collaborated with Guiding Tree Yoga (Richmond, VA) to plan, coordinate, and facilitate a retreat based around finding rest and relaxation. Developed and executed specialty workshops/clinics. Credentials: 2023 - Present: Yin Yoga & Meridians Teacher Training (Virtual) 2021: 200hr RYT (The Yoga Dojo, Richmond, VA) 2020: Reiki II Certification (Divine Spark, Richmond, VA) 2015: Bachelor's Degree, Science of Business Administration & Hospitality Management (University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Lafayette, LA) Workshops/Clinics: 8 Limbs of Ashtanga: Teaching the different limbs of Yoga and how to integrate them into daily life. Strength & Alignment: Collaborated with a local Chiropractor in developing and teaching a class based around holding differing poses to find the correct alignment for each individual student. Cacao Ceremonies: A ceremony in which the students learn about the beautiful benefits and workings of the cacao plant while also consuming a "ceremonial dose" of cacao. A guided meditation, time for journaling/sharing, as well as a heart-opening yoga sequence are included in the ceremony. Populations taught: Beginner, intermediate, and advanced yoga students Military Veterans LGBTQIA+ Yoga Styles Taught (Heated/Unheated): Gentle Foundation/Hatha Yin VinYin Slow Flow Vinyasa Power
