Sarah Herrington is a yoga teacher, writer and yoga advocate.

She taught kids yoga full time for years in NYC public and charter schools and out of that created the kids yoga teacher training OM Schooled. Her writing on yoga + meditation has appeared in the New York Times, Yoga Journal, Poets and Writers, and she's the author of Essential Yoga, the Idiot's Guide to Yoga, OM Schooled, and co-author of Wanderlust: Find Your True North. She has taught workshops on the intersection of writing and yoga and taught Vinyasa classes with a balance of playfulness and grounding both in NYC and LA. For several years she worked to help establish the first Master of Arts in Yoga Studies program at Loyola Marymount University as Program Administrator. She continues to teach on the topic of yoga for youth and in schools within the university's Yoga, Mindfulness and Social Change curriculum. She also often works as an assistant in Ramaswami Srivatsa's trainings (the last living student of Krishnamacharya). She is a graduate of NYU (BA) and Lesley University (MFA) and studied yoga with Yoga to the People, Laughing Lotus, the Yoga Collective, Karma Kids Yoga, Little Flower, the Art of Yoga Project and with Dharma Mittra.
