Sarah Platt-Finger is the Director of Yoga at The Gaja Collective and the co-founder of ISHTA Yoga, LLC in New York City.
As the co-author of the book Living in the Light: Yoga for Self-Realization and a Trainer of teachers for nearly two decades, Sarah is a guiding force in the global yoga community. Sarah received her 500-hour yoga certification in the ISHTA lineage in 2004 and was later initiated as a Yoga Master in that same system by Yogiraj Alan Finger in 2013. Since then, Sarah has dedicated her life to empowering others through the authentic wisdom of yoga. Sarah played a pivotal role in developing one of New York City's most prestigious yoga teacher training programs which has expanded internationally to London, Sweden Germany, Japan, and Australia. Most recently, she developed the Gaja Yoga and Breath Work 200-hour Online Teacher Training course accredited by Yoga Alliance and available in up to 85 countries. In addition to her international teaching, Sarah continues to lead weekly yoga classes both online and in person inspiring, her students to connect deeply with themselves. As a founding member of Exhale to Inhale, a non-profit organization offering trauma-informed yoga, Sarah's teaching emphasizes healing transformation and self-empowerment She believes that yoga is more than a practice on the mat—it is a microcosm of the reality we create in our daily lives Through a deepened awareness of our physical, mental, and emotional patterns, she guides students toward reconnecting with the essence of their being
