About
Sarah Schreck is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, having completed training with The Om Lounge in Pittsburgh, PA, a Registered Yoga School.
The studio's style is described as Vinyasa Krama, a "careful stepping" of vinyasa flows. I hope to continue to learn different approaches to asana practice, as well as deepen my understanding of yoga's many expressions. (I also teach like a goofball, and am always here for a good time!)"A yoga teacher is like a bucket that carries life-giving water. We are not what is important, but it is our privilege to share what we have."My promises to those I hold space with:I will always be a yoga seeker on an incomplete journey of learning. We will teach each other as we go.I will always seek to learn more about the roots of yoga and the community care inherent in its Eastern practice; I will actively pursue my own humility, and will work hard to honor tradition and rootsI will always speak to yoga in its full eight limbs, more than a form of exercise or an expression of the body. I will never pick and choose what to call "yoga" to suit my own needs, wants, or comfortsI will always try to engage with yoga with honor, while bringing lightheartedness and laughter to spaceI will try to be a bucket! My knowledge is your knowledge, my authority yours; there is no competition in the pursuit of yoga.I vow to do my best to practice guide fellow yoga seekers to uplift all beings, live for justice, kindness, and unity.
