Starting yoga 25 years ago at Only Yoga Ashtanga studio in Atlanta was the beginning of a lifelong interest.
I was drawn to the intensity and process. Though I practiced for years, I didn't truly understand yoga's depth beyond the mat until I completed my RYS 200 training at Shiva Yoga in West Hollywood. Though schooled in fine art, I am a full-time software technologist and product leader. Too many inputs swayed my mind. I needed more out of myself, my Self. My teaching focuses on helping myself and others recognize that they are not their thoughts—that the mind is a tool, not the master. Yoga has taught me how to work on presence, awareness, and reclaiming inner stillness. Atha yoga-anuśāsanam. Yogaś citta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ. Tadā draṣṭuḥ svarūpe ’vasthānam. Om Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ Śāntiḥ.
