Selima discovered yoga in while toiling away in social work graduate school and training for the Minneapolis to Chicago AIDS Ride and found it was the perfect antidote to her overtaxed muscles and graduate school brain Since then she has practiced throughout Chicago and Los Angeles prior to completing her hour training through CorePower Yoga in She has continued her studies with a range of local and visiting teachers and added Trauma-Informed Yoga Nidra Yin Restorative Yoga training to her instructional offerings “Yoga is not about touching your toes Its about what you learn on the way down” - Jigar Gor Yoga practice is just that: practice There is no final recital playoffs championship game or Gold medal round Yoga not a deliverable Progress is measured in the practitioners mind not with a yardstick by a classmate or an instructor Progress is made over time through developing awareness and aspiration but often is hampered by limiting beliefs “Im not flexible Im fill-in-the-blank!” Take heart!
