About
Born without my fibula bone I became a below knee amputee at a very young age.
Not knowing anything different, I have maintained a can-do attitude throughout any and all endeavours. My yoga journey began in 2021 although I had been interested in exploring yoga geared towards amputees for several years prior. I took the leap in 2022 to certify for my 200HR YTT and never looked back. Movement is important for everybody no matter our age or ability. The community I found when taking my 200HR certification has been incredibly supportive. I continue to build rapport and support the Alberta Yoga College through the ever growing yoga teacher community. In 2023, I completed an aerial yoga training and also became the first Canadian to certify with Y4A: Yoga for Amputees. My experience and knowledge with a diverse community continues to grow. I teach a variety of styles including Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative. I teach a weekly beginner yoga class which varies weekly (sometimes it’s a chair class) and recently taught a “Sit & Be Fit” series for a 50+ group. I want people to find the glimmer in movement that I did. Motion is lotion.
