Sharons yoga practice spans over four decades starting when she lived in India from – where she received her formal training in Ashtanga Yoga and later her certification through Global Yoga Shala When she returned to America she taught yoga while attending graduate school and continued to offer yoga classes for many years alongside her work career as a Mental Health Therapist and Suicide Prevention Trainer promoting the benefits of a regular yoga practice for both physical and mental health Although now retired from her long career in the mental health field she has not stopped teaching yoga trusting in the wisdom passed down to her from internationally renowned teachers and carrying on those traditions with each and every student who takes her classes Students and teachers often call her “a teachers teacher” Sharon is a Registered Yoga Teacher RYT with Yoga Alliance which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School RYS.
