Shawn Chereskin RYT- she/her/hers teaches from the heart and is in service to all who come to the mat seeking a greater understanding of Self Her classes are trauma-informed and help to gently guide students into the practice of self-inquiry through the subtle and physical bodies focusing on presence and sensation  Shawn first came to yoga in for the physical practice and soon came to love and know the other aspects that yoga provided not only the body but the mind and spirit In after years of practicing Shawn began the journey of becoming a teacher of yoga at the Circle Yoga Shala in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas  She has a passion for sharing this practice with people who are incarcerated gently guiding and supporting them to realize their own humanity power resilience beauty and ultimately a greater sense of Self agency and liberation She has trained with the Prison Yoga Project in and is a Program Director for the St Louis chapter of the Prison Yoga Project When Shawn is not on the mat you can find her hanging out with her two amazing grown kids hiking camping reading biking running barefoot in the grass and all around embracing life the good and the messy.
